This week, I received a Monday Mailbag question asking me to rank every Wolf Pack football coach in program history, a project I was actually working on as a follow up to my ranking of every Nevada starting quarterback over the last five decades. In total, 26 head coaches have led Nevada football, a number that will rise to 27 when newly hired Ken Wilson makes his debut in 2022. Of those 26 coaches, 11 have winning records during their Nevada tenures.
Boise State becomes winningest program in college football history
With Boise State's two season-opening victories, the team became the winningest program in college football history. The Broncos are now 462-170-2, which puts the program's win percentage at . 7303. BSU nudged its way to the top position ahead of Ohio State (926-326-53; . 7299), with Notre Dame in a close third (914-326-42; . 7293). The Broncos are now gearing up for the third game of the season on Friday against Brigham Young University.
